The two ladies are at the hall attending a wedding of an old friend. The wedding is lovely, and since love is the main reason that they are there, it is hard not to talk about love and everything related. The first lady, Misha is in a relationship with a doctor, hence the reason why she is alone. Her boyfriend is very busy but instead of being mad at him for not being able to spend too much time with her, Misha believes that this is a great opportunity to find herself and also catching up with her friends. As for Jen, she is currently single. But she is fine with it because she is not rushing for anything. Good thing that her mother is not someone that would push her into doing things.
"So Mish, and plans for the big day yet?" Jen loves preparing for a wedding, and that might probably be the reason on why she's not in a rush.
"We have talked about it, but nothing is set yet. Also this will be the busiest year for Sam, so I will not be pushing him now. Besides, we live together. It's not like a piece of paper can change anything much"
"True. Haih, you're very lucky. Always remember that. And he is too. You put aside your needs for him. Look at me, what do I have? I am in love with someone who hates me" Lisa's laughing but Misha can see that it's hurting Lisa.
"How can you be so sure that he hates you? Unless if he's saying it out loud, then it's true. But if you're just saying it because you feel like it's true, then don't waste your time. As long as you guys are good friend, that's all that matters"
"He didn't say it out loud, but he is really trying to show it. At first I blamed the changes, but then I realized how much he wants me to see that he hates me. First, he would say no to any of my plans. Without even considering it. He'd say no in a heartbeat. But if someone else is inviting him to the same event, he'd consider it and 4 out of 5 times, you'll see him there. And then, every time I call him, he would either not listen at all, or he just makes the situation weird. It is as if I can smell his hatred through the phone. We used to talk on the phone for hours, but now even a four minutes phone call is too long."
"Is this true? God, I really cant believe that he's a jerk. Let's just move on. I can ask Sam for his doctor friend. Then we can have a lot of sleepovers together"
"No, he's not a jerk. It is bound to happen. Our nature of friendship is that I need him more than he needs me. After years of being constantly needed, I believe it can get tiring. Especially when I have nothing else to offer."
"You cant say things like that, you are what you believe you are"
"I am practically nothing to him. He told me to stay friends forever, yet he didn't even make a move. Probably that is his way of pushing me away but without him breaking the news. But I do want to know the exact reason why is he being like this. But I'm just scared that I would be annoyed by his answer. You know how guys can be like when someone he doesn't like confesses to him, he'll stay away and thinking that it is the best for that person. He said it the last time, might be using the same excuse again."
"Yeah, I hate it when they do that. How could you know more about me and who died and made you the judge of everything? Oh just thinking about it makes me furious."
"Yes. And you want to know what makes me madder? That even after knowing all this, I still want him."
Misha takes Lisa's hand and squeezes it to give her comfort. Her heart breaks when Lisa tells her about how much she wants him, because that is exactly how she wants Lisa.
